Artist Biography
Chris is an artist and educator living in Rome, GA. Currently teaching art at Rome High School, he began his teaching career at Pepperell Middle School in 1989. Chris also has private students, has taught at Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center in Cedartown, GA as an Art teacher/therapist, and does commissioned works. Chris has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions of drawings and paintings over the last 20 years. He holds degrees from Berry College, Bank St. College of Education, and Parsons School of Art and Design. He has works in collections around the U.S. and Europe. As of 2008, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Creative Society. Drawing has always been fundamental to Chris’ development as an artist, and continues to be at the heart of his practice. His paintings are largely a result of his fascination with the human form and human behavior.
