Born in Hickory, NC, Chris Hodges is an artist living in Rome, GA since 1979. A recently retired art educator, Chris taught drawing, painting, ceramics, and art history for 21 years.
Chris has works in public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions of drawings and paintings for over three decades.
Drawing has always been fundamental to Chrisʼ development as an artist and continues to be at the heart of his practice. His work is largely a result of his fascination with the human form and human behavior, though his oeuvre contains a series of landscapes as well as abstract work.
As to the nature of his work he states, “My only goal, as an artist, is to make something that someone will want to look at more than once.”
